Glimpses into a quaint Maharashtrian village about 3 centuries ago.
Marbles and millstones have traversed through centuries. I remember my grandma making flour using one of these and even my mum using a grindstone until electric mixer entered our house.
Grindstones were extremely laborious, time-consuming and exhausting. I still remember how elated mum was when she finally got her mixer.
Electronic devices definitely have made life easier, but taste of fish curry cooked using a stone, is still irreplaceable.
