Vegan Chocolate Mug Cake

This spectacular recipe takes about two minutes to prepare and less than 2 minutes to bake. It’s a healthy alternative to the usual cakes because there isn’t maida or white sugar or eggs or dairy.

So what’s it made of you ask:
1. Millet flour or any healthy flour – 3 tbsp
2. Jaggery – 2 tbsp
3. Any healthy cooking oil – 2 tbsp
4. Cocoa powder – 1tbsp
5. Chocolate chips – as per your liking
6. Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
7. Baking powder – 1/4 tsp
8. Water – 3 tbsp
9. Pinch of salt

That’s really all you need. And a microwave.

It’s so easy to make, you just have to toss in all the ingredients in a mug and mix them up really well. Then bake for 1 min 20 secs. Basta! Done!
There you have a mouthful of the most velvety, gorgeous, dark, dense and moist delight in absolutely no time. Now whenever I crave a cake to accompany my coffee, I don’t have to go scrolling a food delivery app and paying the topup of delivery charges and taxes which adds up to more than the actual cost of the dish.
This Vegan Chocolate Mug Cake is an ode to friendship, literally and figuratively. Aware of my health conditions and excessive fondness for muffins, she searched the net and found this blissful recipe.

P.S.: When I made it the first time, I used extra virgin olive oil; but the strong flavor of the oil eclipsed that of the cake and made it dry as well.
So the next time I tried with normal olive oil. It was so soft and wobbly that it would put a Soufflé to shame. The flavors expressed themselves divinely too. Next, I’m gonna try with the usual cooking oil.
